Bass Pro Shop in Denver, Colorado
My family and I visited Bass Pro Shop in Denver, Colorado over the weekend and were amazed at the fun we had. The store is filled to the brim with camping supplies, hunting gear and boating equipment.
We wandered around in awe of the wall-to-wall taxidermy animals on display and were impressed with the variety of products that were for sale from -- light switch covers, electric meat smokers, crock pots and there was even an entire section of NASCAR toys and collectibles. The store was simply amazing and at every turn there was something new.
What I didn't expect to see was the indoor 21,000 gallon aquarium, very impressive and full of a variety of beautiful fishes. They offered free informational classes throughout the day from everything from fly fishing to rock climbing. They even have an indoor shooting range and a rock climbing wall. Hundreds of kids took turns climbing up to the top and making their way back down the rock wall. There was so much to do and see.
The shop offers family workshops and crafts for the kids. It's more than a store it is playground for the young at heart. The first shop opened in 1972 in Springfield, Missouri and its success has grown and they now have over 61 locations throughout the United States and one in Canada.
Since they've first opened they have always been strong supporters of habitat and conservational organizations and remain so to this day. If you have a chance log onto their Web site and check out their history, its' quite amazing. With shops located all over the United States there is no excuse, not to check one out. Bass Pro Shops is an adventure and a whole lot of fun for the entire family.
Before, leaving we had the chance to take a free lesson on how to shoot a bow, it was a fun experience and something we will remember for a life time.
The Bass Pro Shop is a store and a whole lot more, they have the latest supplies and items for fly fishing, boating, camping; ATV/UTV, archery and hunting. In addition to these items you can also find clothing, furniture and jewelry. And if you are hungry for fresh seafood the shop has its very own restaurant on site. This place is incredible.
